Instructions for Assembling Your Paper Character “Shelfie”

1. Color First (Highly Recommended!)
Before cutting, take some time to color your shelfie! Use markers, colored pencils, or any medium you like. Coloring first helps keep the edges neat and makes your character look their best.

2. Cut Along the Dotted Line
Once you’re done coloring, carefully cut out your shelfie following the dotted cutout line. Take your time around smaller details so your shelfie keeps its full shape.

3. Form the Base Tabs
At the bottom of your shelfie, you’ll see **two tab ends**. These tabs will form the base that helps your shelfie stand or sit on display.

4. Fold or Curve the Tabs*
You can either fold the tabs flat and bring them together, or gently curve them to create a rounded base, whichever look you prefer!

5. Secure the Base
Use a small piece of tape or a dab of glue to connect the tab ends together. Hold them in place for a few seconds until secure.

6. Display Your Shelfie!
Once dry, your shelfie is ready to show off! You can:
* Place it on a bookshelf to watch over your collection.
* Tuck it between the pages of a front-facing book for a fun peek-a-boo effect.

✨ Have fun bringing your shelfie to life! Each one adds a little magic to your shelves.
